Granular Sulphur

S — 99.8% min

Recovered elemental sulphur, formed into granules or pastilles for handling. The overwhelming majority goes into sulphuric acid manufacture, which in turn goes into phosphate fertilizer — closing a loop that runs through this catalogue.

A smaller share is applied directly to soil, where bacteria oxidise it to sulphate over weeks. That slow release is the point: it suits autumn application ahead of a spring requirement.

Transport status
Formed sulphur may fall under UN 1350 Class 4.1 — confirmed per form

Classification, HS code and transport regime are confirmed per grade and per route at the offer stage. Figures below are indicative of the standard specification.

Packaging

  • Bulk, in holds, hopper wagons and tippers
  • Big bag 1000 / 1250 kg
  • PP bags 25 and 50 kg where required

Storage and handling

  • Dry, covered storage away from ignition sources
  • Dust is combustible and can form an explosive atmosphere — control dust generation at transfer points
  • Segregate from oxidisers and from strong bases
  • Slightly acidic in the presence of moisture — protect steel handling equipment

Transport

  • Formed and granular sulphur may be regulated as Class 4.1 — confirmed against the specific form
  • Covered equipment; no ignition sources during handling
  • Holds cleaned and free of oil residue before loading

Documents

  • Technical data sheet (TDS) — issued with the offer
  • Safety data sheet (SDS) in the languages of transit and destination
  • Certificate of analysis, lot-specific, drawn at loading
  • Certificate of origin and EUR.1 where the destination allows preference

Documents are issued against a confirmed enquiry rather than published for download — an SDS is only meaningful for the grade and revision actually shipped.
