Urea solution 32.5% — ISO 22241
A precisely specified 32.5 percent solution of high-purity urea in demineralised water, injected into the exhaust of diesel engines to reduce nitrogen oxides across an SCR catalyst.
The specification is unforgiving because the catalyst is expensive. Contamination — from a tank that previously held something else, from a dirty hose, from ordinary tap water — damages the system the fluid exists to protect. Dedicated equipment is not a refinement here; it is the product.
