Industrial chemicals
Sulphuric Acid
H₂SO₄ — 94–98%
The highest-tonnage industrial chemical in the world, and the reagent that turns phosphate rock into the phosphate fertilizers in this catalogue. Outside fertilizer it appears in almost every branch of chemical processing.
It is a strong dehydrating agent as much as an acid: it chars organic material and reacts violently with water, releasing enough heat to boil the mixture. Dilution is always acid into water, never the reverse, and that rule is the practical core of handling it safely.

Classification, HS code and transport regime are confirmed per grade and per route at the offer stage. Figures below are indicative of the standard specification.
Packaging
- Rail tank wagons in approved material
- ISO tanks of about 21–26 m³
- Road tankers in dedicated equipment
Storage and handling
- Carbon steel is acceptable above 90% concentration; below that, lined or alloy tanks are required
- Bunded to full tank capacity; vented with an acid-resistant vent filter
- Segregate from water sources, alkalis, organic material and reactive metals
- Hydrogen can accumulate in the vapour space of steel tanks — no ignition sources
Transport
- ADR, RID and IMDG Class 8, packing group II
- Dedicated equipment with previous cargo history documented
- DGSA oversight; written instructions and safety data sheet in the route languages
Documents
- Technical data sheet (TDS) — issued with the offer
- Safety data sheet (SDS) in the languages of transit and destination
- Certificate of analysis, lot-specific, drawn at loading
- Certificate of origin and EUR.1 where the destination allows preference
Documents are issued against a confirmed enquiry rather than published for download — an SDS is only meaningful for the grade and revision actually shipped.
