Potash fertilizers
MOP — Potassium Chloride
KCl — 60% K₂O, standard or granular
The volume potassium product worldwide and the cheapest source of the nutrient. Around 95 percent of potash traded is MOP, and its price sets the floor for every other potassium grade.
The sizing decision matters more than buyers expect. Standard grade is a fine crystal destined for a blending plant or a dissolving tank; granular grade is sized to spread and to blend with granular urea and DAP without segregating. Ordering the wrong one produces a product that cannot be applied evenly.
